Fostering self-reliance for Syrian refugees in south Lebanon

Objective:

- livelihood program for Lebanese community and Syrian refugees aiming at creating and raising income to stabilize the presence of the Syrian refugees and compensate for the loss of part of assistance for all of it and make them less dependable on direct assistance. The project contains vocational training to raise capacities to ensure higher employment rates and will be followed by business start ups through grants and tool kits provided.

·         General objective: Reducing the protection risks faced by Lebanese and Syrian women and girls in South Lebanon through an increased awareness of the communities towards specific issues, including GBV, as well as through a reinforcement of the local capacity and structures in order to enhance timely and effective prevention and response.

1.Developing community-based peer support and increasing women and girls’ access to safe spaces in order to reduce vulnerability and isolation.

2.Improving quality of services provided to women and girls within the targeted safe spaces through the implementation of a package of prevention and response interventions.

Empower Human Rights and Enhance Life Conditions for Neglected Communities
